Editorial standards

Sources and accuracy

We prioritise original advisories, company statements, official documentation and research. Articles link to supporting sources and distinguish confirmed information from allegations or interpretation. A news report reflects the information available on its stated review date; readers should check the linked advisory for later updates.

Corrections and updates

Report a possible error through our contact page, including the article link and a supporting source. We review correction requests and add a dated note when a change materially affects the meaning of an article. Minor spelling or formatting changes may be made without a separate note.

Reviews and commercial relationships

We only describe a product as tested when actual testing supports that description. Research based on documentation is identified as such. Commercial relationships do not justify unsupported claims. Affiliate links, if introduced, will be disclosed beside relevant recommendations. See our affiliate disclosure.

Images and AI assistance

We use AI tools to assist with research, drafting and illustrations. Factual claims must be checked against the cited sources before publication. AI-generated article illustrations are labelled and are not evidence or photographs of real incidents.

Reader safety

Guides provide general education. They cannot determine whether a particular account or device is compromised. For urgent account, payment or incident concerns, use the provider’s official support channel or seek qualified assistance. Never send passwords or login codes to our editorial inbox.
